It’s day five! Today’s challenge is going to be all about paper clutter. More specifically, paperwork.
I’m embarrassed to admit, but when I first started my minimalism journey, I had huge files filled with every single homework assignment, note, handout and worksheet I received or written since I was in 5th grade. Why did I keep onto these things? I have no idea. But, I’m sure other people have held on to such things as well.
My challenge for you today is to go through your paperwork and discard things that are unimportant (keep tax forms, birth/marriage/death/adoption certificates and degrees/diplomas) and older than a year.
If you come across precious things such as a handwritten note from your brother when he was seven, take a picture of it and recycle.
